Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court ruled that under Section 13(g) of the Delhi & Ajmer Rent Control Act, 1952, a landlord can seek eviction based on bona fide requirements for rebuilding. The Court held that since the tenants failed to vacate the premises by the specified date in the decree, they were not entitled to be restored to possession under Section 15(3) of the Act. The High Court's decision allowing the tenants to impose terms of the decree was overturned, affirming the landlords' right to possession.
