Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that under Section 27 of the Evidence Act, the admissibility of statements made by multiple accused leading to discoveries does not require proof of which statement was made first, provided there is clear evidence of initial pointing out by one of the accused. In this case, the Court found that S's initial pointing out of the location of the dead bodies justified the admissibility of the evidence regarding the discoveries. The appeal against the conviction was dismissed, affirming the High Court's ruling.
