The instant petition has been preferred by the petitioner under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short “BNSS”) for grant of regular bail in case arising out of FIR No.05 dated 08.01.2026 registered under Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959 and Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for short “BNS”) at Police Station Jaito, District Faridkot. 2. As per the allegations, on 08.01.2026, a secret information was received to the effect that the present petitioner who was having criminal antecedents had uploaded his photograph on social media showing himself while experimenting with some illicit weapons. It was informed that he could be caught with some illicit weapon, if raid was conducted. On this information, the aforementioned FIR was registered. Investigation proceedings were initiated.
