On the last date of hearing i.e. 17.04.2026, the following order was passed :- “The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the pensionary benefits i.e. gratuity amounting to Rs.20,00,000/- and leave encashment amounting to Rs.24,06,000/- to the petitioner immediately along with interest @ 12% per annum on the delayed payment of retiral benefits as the petitioner retired from service on 31.12.2024. On receipt of advance copy of the petition, Mr. Divyadeep Walia, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of the respondents-University and submits that the remaining retiral dues of the petitioner shall be released within a period of two weeks.
