Present petition has been filed challenging the order dated 28.11.2025 whereby the appeal preferred by the respondent was allowed by the appellate authority under Payment of Gratuity Act and directions were issued for payment of gratuity. 3. The facts, in brief, that emerge are that the respondent was appointed with the petitioner/bank. Subsequently, by means of an order dated 18.08.2017 the services of the respondent were dismissed with retrospective effect mainly on the allegation that the caste certificate of the petitioner, on the foundation on which he had obtained the services with the bank, was cancelled by the District Level Scrutiny Committee.
