The petitioners have filed the present writ petition being aggrieved by the notice dated 04.02.2026 issued under Section 331(1)(2) of the U.P. Municipal Corporation Act, 1959, whereby the shops of the petitioners situated in Benia Shopping Complex, Varanasi, have been sought to be demolished on the ground that the same are in a dilapidated condition. 3. The facts of the case are that petitioner nos. 1 to 6 are the original allottees of shops in Benia Shopping Complex, Varanasi, whereas petitioner nos. 7 to 11 are the sub tenants of the original allottees and have been regularly paying rent to Nagar Nigam, Varanasi-respondent no. 2.
