Heard Sri Amit Kumar Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Sri Ravi Prakash Singh for Respondent no.1. 2. The case of the petitioner is that the her husband Sunil Kumar (since deceased) when on the fateful day, i.e. on 10.02.2017, was traveling by train on the basis of a valid Rail Ticket, met with an accident. He sustained injuries and died. The petitioner herein preferred an application bearing Claim Application No. OAII(U)/ALD/1418/2020, Rekha Devi & others vs. Union of India, which came to be decided on 11.09.2025 awarding the compensation to the tune of Rs.8,00,000/- along with interest. According to the petitioner, though the Railway Claims Tribunal, has granted an amount of Rs.6,00,000/- along with the accrued interest, but had released on 10% thereof and directed 90% was to be deposited in the fixed deposit. 3.
