The instant writ petition has been filed seeking release of payment of Rs. 9,79,934/- along with interest and release of the security deposit in the shape of FDR/TDR amounting to Rs. 7,06,000/- along with interest accrued on the aforesaid amounts. 3. The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that, vide contract dated 30.05.2019, the petitioner had been allotted the work of road widening and construction of drainage by the Municipal Corporation, Varanasi.
