The aforementioned FIR was registered on the basis of a written complaint submitted by complainant Mereum Anusha Gayanie Fernando, originally a Sri Lankan citizen and at that time residing in Gurugram temporarily, alleging therein that the present petitioner and his wife Richa Bhardwaj were her tenants in Sri Lanka in the year 2006-07.
