The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to review/recall the posting orders dated 24.09.2024 (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner and grant him opportunity to opt for new/nearby stations subject to available vacancies as of today as given to all the prior and subsequent batches except the batch of the petitioner in terms of their own consistent and long standing practice of station allotment by issuing a public notice and inviting station preferences based on seniority. 2.
