Om Parkash @ Chattar Singh, as a freedom fighter, so that for the services he had rendered he could be granted the admissible benefits, whereas as per the policy issued, such recognition can only be given in case a freedom fighter is alive. Learned counsel further submits that the efforts in the present petition which were being taken by the wife of Om Parkash @ Chattar Singh was to get recognition for her husband for the service he rendered as a freedom fighter and though, she has also left the world, the same is being pursued by the legal heirs. 2.
