The brief facts of the case are that the petitioner was initially appointed on the post of Constable in the year 1975 with the Punjab Police. Thereafter, the petitioner was promoted on various posts from time to time. Ultimately, the petitioner retired from the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Intelligence) on 31.05.2017 after getting extension of 02 years.
