The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, vide award dated 18.07.2023 passed in claim petition filed by Varisha who had died during the pendency of the claim petition, had awarded an amount of Rs.12,72,400/- along with interest as compensation to her legal heir. The present appeal has been filed for enhancement of compensation. 2. It has been brought to the notice of this Court that during the pendency of the present appeal, matter has been finally settled before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and a detailed settlement/compromise dated 29.04.2026 has been placed on record of the present file. It is submitted that as per the said compromise, respondent No.4-Insurance Company would pay an amount of Rs.1,85,000/- as additional compensation as a full and final settlement.
