In the present petition, the challenge is to the impugned orders dated 11.01.2024 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent No.2 – Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Chandigarh (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Tribunal), by which, instead of the benefit of disability pension, the benefit of War Injury pension by rounding off the same @ 50% as against 20% w.e.f. 01.05.1998 has been granted in favour of respondent No.1. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that though the respondent No. 1 was posted in the Manipur area during the Operation Hifazat, which is to be considered as operational duty but the disabilities suffered by respondent No. 1 i.e. (i) Contusion Back ( Waist) and (ii) Hurt on left knee are due to the fact that he slipped his foot from a hilly terrain
