(ORAL) 1 Employer is in appeal aggrieved of the order dated 16.11.2023 passed by the Commissioner under Employee’s Compensation Act, 1923 (for short, ‘the Act’) awarding compensation of Rs.6,12,360/- to the claimants on account of death of Jai Bhagwan who died in an accident arising out of and during the course of employment. 2 As per the claimants, Jai Bhagwan was working as Conductor- cum-Helper with the appellants on monthly wages of Rs.12,000/- per month. On 20.09.2016 the deceased was working on the rooftop on the directions of the school officials. He fell from the rooftop and sustained a head injury.
