(ORAL) The petitioners, by way of present petition, seek issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondent Nos 2 & 3 to release the entire compensation alongwith statutory benefits in lieu of their acquired land. [2] Learned State Counsel, on instructions from Ms. Damandeep Kaur, PCS, SDM, Mohali, submits that the amount of compensation payable to the petitioners alongwith interest upto 14th May, 2023 stands deposited in their accounts. He also assures that with respect to the remaining amount i.e. from 15th May, 2023 onwards, the deposit shall be made within next fifteen days.
