The present appeal has been filed by the driver and owner of offending truck bearing registration No. PB-30-E-9228 laying challenge to the Award dated 02.04.2012 passed by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Ferozepur, whereby an amount of ₹9,38,800/- had been awarded as compensation to claimant/respondent No. 1; and the appellants were held liable to the pay the aforesaid amount of compensation as, the offending truck was not insured on the date of accident. 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the respondent- claimant submits that the present has been rendered infructuous as the matter stands settled between the parties amicably; and the cross-appeal bearing No. FAO-3547-2012 filed by the claimant has been dismissed as withdrawn vide order of even date. 3.
