222 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH 2000 reco | FAO-1939-2005 (O&M) Date of Decision: 05.05.2026 SUKHWINDER KAUR AND ANR. .. Appellants Vs. RAJU AND ORS. ..Respondents CORAM:- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIRINDER AGGARWAL Present: Mr. Sandeep Bansal, Advocate with Ms. Shaveta, and Ms. Anju, Advocates for the appellants. Mr. Rahul Pathania, Advocate for respondent No.3. VIRINDER AGGARWAL, J. (Oral) 1, This matter pertains to the year 2005, Learned counsel for the appellants submits that he is no longer in touch with the appellants and, in the absence of instructions, he is unable to render any effective assistance to the Court in the matter. In these circumstances, it can reasonably be inferred that the appellants are not interested in pursuing the present appeal any further. When the litigating party shows no diligence in prosecuting the appeal and fails to provide instructions to their counsel, the continuation of such proceedings serves no useful purpose and keeping the appeal pending on the docket indefinitely would only amount to unnecessary consumption of judicial time and resources. 2. Accordingly, the present appeal stands dismissed for want of prosecution. 3.
