In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of direction to the respondents to grant the notional seniority to the petitioner with effect from the date, the last candidate was selected as Constable in the category, in which the petitioner has applied in pursuant to the advertisement issued in the year 2011. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that respondent No.2 has already recommended the case of the petitioner to respondent No.5 for the purpose of grant of notional seniority vide letter dated 17.11.2025 (Annexure P-4), however, no decision has been taken thereupon till date. He, on instructions from the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if at this stage, direction is given to respondent No.5 to treat the present petition as a representation and decide
