The present Regular Second Appeal has been filed by the appellants/defendants challenging the judgment and decree dated 17.04.1998, whereby the appeal preferred by the respondent/plaintiff–Jagjeet Singh against the judgment and decree dated 23.11.1993 passed by the learned Trial Court was allowed, and consequently, the suit of the respondent/plaintiff was decreed. 2. Briefly stated, the respondent/plaintiff instituted a suit for declaration claiming ownership and possession over the suit land, as detailed in the head note of the plaint, while assailing the allotment order dated 11.04.1988 as illegal, null and void.
