The present contempt petition has been filed for non-compliance of order dated 30.07.2024 passed by Division Bench of this Court in CWP-2066- 2018, vide which the respondents were directed to ensure that whenever a complaint is made which reflects commission of cognizable offence, an FIR ought to be registered. 2. Notice of motion. 3. On asking of the Court, Mr. Ravneet Singh Joshi, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. 4. Learned State counsel contends that no contempt is made out against the respondent, since the petitioner has made the complaint on 11.05.2026 only and the complaint/representation is pertaining to matrimonial dispute, which is placed on record as Annexure P-2 in the present petition. The said complaint is yet to be decided. 5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the whole file of this case
