The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the lives and personal liberty of the petitioners, who are married since 21.05.2026 and for further directing respondents No.1 to 3 for restraining respondents No.4 to 5 or any other person from interfering in the married life of petitioners. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks protection of life and liberty of the petitioners by contending that both of them having attained the age of majority, have married each other against the wishes of their respective family members and to seek appropriate protection from the authorities. They submitted a representation dated 21.05.2026 (Annexure P- 7) in this regard to the official respondent, but are still apprehensive
