Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.196 dated 03.09.2025 registered under Section 21-C, 25, 27 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station Sadar Bathinda, District Bathinda. 2. Brief facts of the present case are that on 03.09.2025, ASI Paramjit Singh, along with his fellow police officials was on patrolling duty and on suspicion, apprehended three persons, namely, Satish Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar @ Peetu @ Bini and Jaswinder Singh @ Koki, who were found in conscious possession of 553 grams of heroin.
