The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and take action on their representation dated 21.04.2026 (Annexure P-9). 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have made a representation dated 21.04.2026 (Annexure P-9) raising their grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereon. He further submitted that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural to decide the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioners and take necessary action thereon
