Mr. Manpreet Singh Khangura, AAG, Punjab and Mr. Sunil Thapar, Addl.AG, Punjab. EK Despite repeated efforts, notice could not be served for the petitioner whereas the learned counsel through whose office the present petition was filed, has since died. Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that the necessary relief has been allowed to the petitioner. However, as the counsel has since died and the petitioner is not traceable, we feel that no fruitful purpose shall be served in keeping the appeal pending on board at this stage. File be consigned to the record with liberty to the petitioner, in case, the statement made by the representative of the respondent is against record, he will have the liberty to revive the present petition by moving an appropriate application.
