The present petition has been preferred under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, assailing the impugned order dated 25.04.2019 (Annexure P-3), whereby the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Tarn Taran has declared the petitioner a proclaimed offender. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR No.0002 dated 02.01.2015 u/s 22 of NDPS Act, 1985, was registered at P. S. Jhabal, District Tarn Taran, against the petitioner. He submits that the petitioner had been regularly appearing before the learned trial Court on every date of hearing and had no intention to evade the process of law. He submits that the petitioner absented himself and as such non-bailable warrants were issued and thereafter proceedings under Section 82 Cr.P.C. were initiated against the petitioner. Thereafter, the learned trial Court issued procla
