This petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding to Section 438 Cr.P.C.) for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 135 dated 21.11.2024, registered under Sections 21(c), 27-A, 29, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act, 1985 at Police Station Vairoke, District Fazilka 2. The case of the prosecution is that on 21.11.2024, co-accused Varinder Singh @ Ravi was apprehended by the police and 510 grams of heroin was allegedly recovered from him. During the course of interrogation, the said co-accused disclosed the names of Sukhchain Singh @ Nandu (petitioner) and Manpreet Singh @ Mannu. Thereafter, on the basis of disclosure statement of co-accused Manpreet Singh @ Mannu, recovery of 1 kg 718 grams of heroin along with drug money amounting to Rs.25,000/- was effected. SONIA
