Ms. Ruchika Sabherwal, Sr. DAG, Punjab. *** MANISHA BATRA, J (ORAL):- The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents No. 1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members who are having eminent threats at the hands of respondent No. 5 and take action on his representation dated 10.05.2026 (Annexure P-5). 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed a representation on 10.05.2026 before the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, Mohali, raising their grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereon.
