Prayer in the present petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.28 dated 16.02.2023, under Section 302 of IPC, registered at Police Station Dinanagar, District Gurdaspur, Punjab. 2. After hearing counsel for the parties and perusing the record, it is deciphered that the petitioner is accused of killing his wife and thereafter, put her on fire. Petitioner is the sole accused. As submitted by the learned State counsel, in all there are 17 prosecution witnesses, out of which, 11 witnesses remain to be examined. 3. This Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, keeping in view the custody of the petitioner, the trial Court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same expeditiously, preferably, within six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 11.05.2026 ( RAJ
