The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned order dated 26.12.2022 (Annexure P- 2), whereby the non-posting period from 07.07.1999 to 04.10.2000 has been treated as leave of the kind due and the same has been adjusted against the earned leave account of the petitioner, resulting in denial of salary and other consequential service benefits for the aforesaid period. It is contended that the impugned order is arbitrary, erroneous, illegal, contrary to the settled principles of service jurisprudence and wholly unsustainable in the eyes of law.
