Present petition has been field under Article 226/227 of Constitution of India read with Section 3 of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoner’s (Temporary Release) Act, 1962 for setting the order dated 16.04.2026 passed by respondent No.2 by which, the prayer of the petitioner for the grant of benefit of parole has been rejected in view of the letter dated 17.03.2026 issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh mentioning therein that the possibility of indulging in criminal activities and absconding from parole by the petitioner, cannot be ruled out. 2.
