Prayer in this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for directing respondents No.2 and 3 to provide adequate police protection to safeguard the petitioner’s life and personal liberty. Further prayer has been made for restraining respondents No.2 and 3 from harassing the petitioners or taking any action against them at the behest of respondents No.4 to 10. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that both the petitioners are major and have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 10 and have sought protection to their life and liberty. They apprehend danger from respondents No.4 to 10. Their marriage certificate and photographs evidencing their marriage are on record as Annexures P-3 and P-4. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that petitioners have filed representation dated 04.05.2026 (An
