The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ, order or direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioners by providing police protection against respondent Nos.4 and 5, and further seeking directions restraining the said private respondents from interfering in the personal life and liberty of petitioner No. 1 and her husband i.e. petitioner No. 2, or from harassing them in any manner. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have preferred a representation/complaint dated 08.05.2026(Annexure P-3) to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police(Rural), Ludhiana, but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel also submits that the
