Learned counsel for the petitioners argues that vide Notification dated 19.12.2025, certain areas were included within the Municipal Council, Ajnala but, before the said area could be delimited, the prohibition imposed by the Government of India to freeze the boundaries w.e.f. 01.01.2026 came into being hence, the petitioners, who are residing in the area which was brought within the Municipal Council, Ajnala, are neither part of the Municipal Council, Ajnala for the purpose of the forthcoming elections nor will they be treated as falling within the area of the concerned Gram Panchayat hence, the respondents be directed to decide the issue whether the area, which was sought to be included w
