The present petition has been preferred under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, assailing the impugned order dated 14.11.2022 (Annexure P-6), whereby the learned Judge Special Court, Hoshiarpur has declared the petitioner a proclaimed offender. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR No. 149 dated 11.10.2020 under Section 21(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985 was registered against the petitioner at Police Station Hariana, District Hoshiarpur. He further submits that the petitioner had been regularly appearing before the learned Trial Court; however, due to unavoidable circumstances, he could not appear on certain dates.
