Present petition has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, seeking regular bail in case FIR No.54 dated 24.03.2025, under Sections 420, 120-B IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act, registered at Police Station Amargarh, District Malerkotla. 2. As per the allegations, accused persons had assured that if an amount of Rs. 40 lakhs was paid, complainant-Harmanpreet Singh, would be sent to the USA. Allegations in the FIR against the petitioner are that he demande Rs. 2,50,000/- for processing the file and thereafter an additional amount of Rs. 5,15,000/- for purchasing foreign currency. An amount of Rs. 28 lakhs was paid to petitioner-Rajinder Singh, and co-accused-Inderjit Rana.
