The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 04.09.2017 (Annexure P-3), whereby respondent No.4 has been given the current duty charge for the post of Executive Engineer (C-I/II). Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondents to give the said current duty charge to the petitioner, with all consequential benefits, as he is senior to respondent No.4 and is fully qualified for the said post. 2.
