The instant appeal has been preferred by the appellant-claimant (Rachhpal Singh) seeking enhancement of compensation awarded vide Award dated 07.11.2016 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Ludhiana (for short ‘MACT’). 2. The appellant instituted a claim petition under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (for short ‘MV Act’) seeking compensation of Rs.30 Lakhs on account of injuries suffered by him in a motor vehicular accident which took place on 16.04.2011. 3.
