This petition has been filed as a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging that illegal mining is taking place in the Yamuna River. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner informs that illegal mining, which was the main issue raised in this Public Interest Litigation (PIL), has since stopped. 3. The reply that is filed by the State of Haryana indicates that upon inspection, it was found that there is presently no illegal mining activity being undertaken in the riverbed.
