The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of direction to the respondents to release him prematurely in view of the policy dated 12.04.2002 (Annexure P-1). 2. Learned State counsel, at the very outset, has submitted that since the case of the petitioner falls under Clause 2(a) of the aforesaid policy, as per which, the petitioner is required to undergo 14 years of actual sentence and 20 years of total sentence including remissions. However, the petitioner has undergone only 19 years and 08 months of total sentence. Hence, his case cannot be considered for his premature release at this stage. 3. Faced with the same, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the present petition may be disposed of
