Instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for quashing the order dated 22.08.2024 (Annexure P-3) whereby petitioner has been reverted from the post of Deputy Superintendent Jail Grade-II to the post of Assistant Superintendent Jail; for directing the respondents to restore the petitioner to the post of Deputy Superintendent Jail Grade-II with all consequential benefits, including continuity of service, seniority, pay, allowances, arrears and all promotional/service benefits and to consider and adjust the petitioner against any existing, anticipated, available, roster, carried-forward, supernumerary or otherwise available vacancy in the cadre of Deputy Superintendent Jail Grade-II without disturbing the promotional rights already accrued in favour of the petitioner. 2.
