The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners for extending them the benefit of judgment of this Court in CWP-15896-2023 titled as ‘Saurabh Sharma and others Vs. State of Punjab and others’ decided on 13.09.2024 (Annexure P-5) and followed in many other similar matters, with all consequential benefits as per their entitlement along with interest @ 12% per annum from the due date of their entitlement till the date of actual payments. 2.
