The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to allot the General Provident Fund Number to the petitioner in view of the order dated 27.08.2024 (Annexure P-6), vide which the services of the petitioner have been ordered to be counted as qualifying service w.e.f. 01.08.1995 for the purpose of pension in view of the order dated 23.08.2023 (Annexure P- 5), passed by this Court in CWP No.24446 of 2017 titled as ‘Jeet Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others’. 2.
