By way of filing the instant appeal, the appellant-claimant seeks enhancement of compensation amount of ₹9,38,800/- awarded by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Ferozepur, vide impugned Award dated 02.04.2012 passed in MACT Case bearing No. 21 of 2011 dated 17.05.2011 filed under Sections 166 and 140 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The liability to pay the aforesaid amount of compensation was affixed upon the respondents being driver and owner of the offending Truck bearing registration No. PB-30-E-9228 as the same was not insured on the date of accident. 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the appellant-claimant submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant appeal as the matter stands settled between the parties amicably. 3.
