By way of filing the instant appeal, the appellant-claimants seek enhancement of compensation amount of ₹9,41,196/- awarded by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Jind, vide impugned Award dated 29.11.2023 passed in MACT Case bearing No. MACP/292/2021 dated 29.11.2023 filed under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. 2. The matter pertains to the year 2021 and has been filed with delay of 574 days. Today, despite the case having been called twice, the appellant has gone un-represented. Similar is the position on the last date of hearing as well. 3. A bare reading of the above facts shows that the appellants have exhibited an utterly casual attitude in their pursuit of the present litigation.
