(Oral) In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing Advertisement No.13/2024 dated 16.08.2024 (Annexure P-6), whereby the respondents have invited applications from eligible candidates for filling up the posts of Male Sub Inspector (General Duty) (Category No. 40). 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that although the advertisement was issued in the year 2024, the respondents have not initiated the selection process even after a lapse of almost one year and seven months. He further submits that subsequent to the issuance of the said advertisement, the petitioner has qualified the Common Eligibility Test (CET).
