Judgment text excerpt
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH (225) RSA-3434-2002 (O&M) Date of Decision:-06.05.2026 NAWAB AZMAT ALI KHAN NAWAB GANJ AND ANOTHER … Appellants Versus SALAMUDIN AND OTHERS ...Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIRINDER AGGARWAL Present: None for the appellants. Mr. Arnav Mittal, Advocate for respondents No.1 to 3. **** VIRINDER AGGARWAL, J. (Oral) 1. None is present on behalf of the appellants. Notice was issued to the learned counsel for the appellants which was duly served but even then none appeared on behalf of the appellants. This is an appeal arising out of a suit of mandatory injunction and permanent injunction instituted in the year 1994. It seems that appellants have lost interest in pursuing the appeal. 2. In such circumstances, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the case on the docket, indefinitely. 3. Accordingly, the instant appeal stands dismissed for want of prosecution. 4. As a natural corollary, since the main case stand dismissed for want of prosecution of, all pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of, as no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping them pending.
