The petitioner has invoked the writ jurisdiction of this Court by filing the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of certiorari for quashing the promotion order dated 19.08.2016 (Annexure P-1) made in violation of Punjab State Education Class-III (School Cadre) Services (First Amendment) Rules, 1995 dated 08.07.1995. 2. After arguing for some time and realizing that this Court is not inclined to entertain the present petition finding considerable delay, as the promotion of private respondents made in the year 2016 has been challenged by filing the present petition in 2026, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition. 3.
