During his life time, Budh remained in actual cultivating possession of land in question as a ‘pattedar’ with the payment of rent regularly. It was pleaded that after the death of Budh on 19.05.1988, the appellant, being his son, stepped into his shoes as ‘pattedar’ in possession of the suit property.
