Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 483 BNSS is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case 2. Learned counsel contends that the petitioner has been in custody for 3 months and 3 days. He merely supplied goods as per the order placed with him by the Gram Panchayat. The case is based on the documentary evidence. Co-accused, namely, Amarjit Kumar, retired J.E, as also Surinder Singh and Som Chand, who were working as Panch, have since been granted bail by this Court, vide orders Annexures P-4 and P-5, respectively. Supplementary challan has been presented on 12.05.2026, PARVEEN KUMAR 2026.05.19 16:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment. however, charges are yet to be framed and there are, in all, 23 PWs. He is not involved in any other case. 3. Learned State counsel opposes the bail on the ground that there are specific allegations against the petitioner of having supplied the material, amounts of which were misappropriated by the Panchayat.
